‘Laundry Warrior’ will start filming in August

Jang Dong-gun’s upcoming movie ‘Laundry Warrior’ will start filming in August in New Zealand.

Initially the filming was planned to start on May 17th in New Mexico, it’s postponed for 3 months because JDG was injured during practice for action scenes. The filming location is also changed from New Mexico US to New Zealand, where the movie producer Barrie Osborne was getting familiar with while shooting ‘The Lord of the Ring’. At the moment filming crew has ended hunting location and started to work on the set in New Zealand. The filming will start in August or the latest in September. The movie’s release date is around Winter 2008.

This western fantasy genre film is said to be the modern version of ‘Seven Samurai’. JDG’s character is the greatest swordsman Yang, who flees to US western with a baby - the last of enemy bloodline that he’s supposed to kill – hoping for a new life as a laundryman. To play opposite JDG is Zhang Ziyi, whose character is a female warrior comes to attack Yang and the baby, but falls in love with him.
