JDG attended Chunsa Film Festival, Korean press full of praise

The 15th Korean Chunsa Film Festival was held on Sept 14. In this festival,aside from presentating the movie awards, Hallyu Cultural Award (Jang Na Ra),Hallyu Cultural Grand Award (Jang Dong Gun, Lee Young Ae) and the Outstanding Movie Maker Award (3 director) were also presented.

Chunsa Film Festival presented the Hallyu Cultural Grand Award to JDG and LYA who are known as the representatives of korean male and female actors. JDG who was in New Zealand after receiving the film festival invitation hurriedly return to Korea to attend the ceremony to receive the award.

JDG has not been making any public appearance for a very long time. When he appeared and walked on the red carpet, not only did he receive enthusiatic and warm welcome plus cheering from the 3000 audiences, he also made the reporters from different media very excited. In the reporst/news that was released later, there were many praises about his clothing,hairstyle, glasses and his looks, style, expression and images. In those reports he was mentioned as "the representative of Korean nation actor", "the representative of handsome man", "sculpture like handsome man", "even the gloomy day could not conceal/hide his dazzlingly radiant face", "the tied up hair fits him very nicely", there was also special mention about "JDG walked into the entrance with big steps, very impressive and majestic looking", "in the stormy weather his "killer smile" is just as before",
someone even wrote "Could anyone be more handsome than this?"

JDG thinks that receiving this Chunsa Hallyu Cultural Grand Awards is something very honarable.In his receiving speech he said "Thank you very much to all the fans who continue to stay here despite the bad weather. Thank you very much to the film festival committee to present this very meaningful award to me at this very meaningful ceremony. I want to be like Teacher Chun Sa who defended national pride through movies. I will continue to work hard to be able to defend korean actors'pride."
